To celebrate the legendary sunglasses style made famous by actor Steve McQueen (both on and off screen) Italian eyewear brand Persol have launched a second exclusive limited edition collection of Persol “Steve McQueen” PO 0714 folding sunglasses.

The brand new collection of McQueen’s favourite model comes in a limited edition of just 10,000 handmade pieces.

McQueen first elevated Persol PO 714 sunglasses to legendary status in the late 1960’s on the set of hit film “The Thomas Crown Affair” becoming inseparable allies in on-set adventures.

In 2006 a pair of Persol’s from McQueen’s personal collection were auctioned off for approximately $70,000.
