Founded by fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, leading American lifestyle brand DVF was established back in 1972 with a basic cotton jersey shirt dress.

In 1974 the birth of the legendary Diane von Furstenberg “wrap dress” pioneered a new movement in ladies fashion.

By 1985 the simple dress business expanded into a full lifestyle brand with the successful addition of fragrance, cosmetics and a 5th Avenue salon with an exclusive in-house ladies couture line.

Inspired by a generation of hip, chic, young females consumers buying vintage Diane von Furstenberg wrap dresses, the brand re-launched the original Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress in 1997.

By 2001 the Diane von Furstenberg brand had grown globally to include a full ready to wear womenswear collection and in 2003 Diane von Furstenberg launched the www.dvf.com website alongside two brand new collections in beach and swimwear.

In 2004 the Diane von Furstenberg brand began their fine jewellery collaboration with H.Stern.

Diane von Furstenberg shoes kicked off the late 2000’s, followed by a full line of ladies accessories including handbags, belts, scarves, watches, luggage, glasses and sunglasses.

In 2011 the lifestyle brands first home-wear collection made a debut introducing an exclusive range of Diane von Furstenberg bedding and rugs.

Headquartered in New York, the lifestyle brand is now sold in over 70 countries around the world.
